Daniel Sparco is a man driven by his passion for trance music. As a result he is often to be found in his studio thinking, creating new magic.

Daniel Sparco: “Music is not just a hobby, music is essential to my life.”

HOW IT BEGAN

Born in Zwolle, the Netherlands (May 16, 1977) to a musical family, Daniel indulged his passion for music from a young age. He was often to be found in his room playing music, or recording and mixing tapes. As his mom often said “do your homework, instead of fooling around with casette tapes!” A few years later Daniel was at a friend’s home. He saw how his friend was playing around in a dos-program where you could place sounds on a timeline. You could press the play button and the program cycled through those sounds. It triggered a “Wow”! Daniel was sold and immediately got himself a copy of that software called “Fasttracker II”. Daniel progressed from making low-profile soundmixes for friends to high-end mixes when he started experimenting with samples and and downloading them.

Daniel Sparco: “I loved creating music immediately – it had a great impact on my structure of the way I lived”. 

In the early days, Daniel was filling in his time with school, work & music. However he was trying different styles of music to create, soon he realised that the forms of dance music were the most obvious to create. You don’t really need a vocalist or a drummer to create great music, now do you?!

Above all, it’s about the emotion you get from it!

After having a few releases in other dancemusic-styles, he realised creating trance music is the best way to express himself in music. For instance The “thickness of the bassdrum, the huge, massive, wide sound of the trance-melodies”. Above all, that’s what creates the spark for him!”
